The Dowell Brothers
The Dowell brothers have made an impact on and off the field. Their biggest influence has been their parents, Will and Anita who instilled the values of education, working hard and giving back. The Dowell family legacy will last through Do-Well Foundation by providing opportunities for others to be ready and position themselves for success.
Andrew Dowell
Andrew Dowell is currently a National Football League linebacker for the New Orleans Saints. He played college for Michigan State earning an honorable mention for the All-Big Ten and the MSU Tommy Love Award for the most improved player on defense. He was originally signed to the Saints practice squad in 2019 and elevated to the active roster in 2021. Andrew is completing his Masters Degree at Northwestern University in Sports Administration through the School of Professional Studies.
David Dowell
David Dowell played safety for Michigan State and was a two-time member of Michigan State’s Eagle leadership council. David was also a 3 time All-Big Ten safety for the Spartans and a 3 time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He has both his undergrad, a Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Science – Kinesiology and Exercise Science, from Michigan State. While now working full-time he also spends time giving back through the Do-Well Foundation.
Michael Dowell
Michael is currently pursuing a career in the NFL after completing his collegiate career at Miami of Ohio. Like his brothers, Michael began his collegiate career at Michigan State, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business. After transferring from Michigan State, Michael completed his Master’s degree from Miami of Ohio and was a starting safety on the 2023 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship team.
